I used to participate in the walk for Boston Children's Hospital when I was a kid with my family. I have not participated in at least 10 years because we grew older, life became busier, and we made it less of a priority to attend. I enjoyed the fact that there was so much to do and see besides the actual walk. The weather was always stunning, the food was great, the people were nice, and most importantly the kids there had a great time and fundraised money towards research for children with chronic illness, like me. My favorite memory was when I got to see a booth in the lawn of the hatch shell of the Boston Celtics 2008 NBA championship trophy and Brian Scalabrine was working the booth. I met him, took photographs with him and the trophy, and got his signature on my hat, which I still own. I am hoping that some kids will get to experience moments like these in 2024. My monetary goal is to fundraise $2,000 for pediatric cancer research within Boston Children's Hospital by June 1st. As a patient at BCH since birth, I am eager to smash this goal and please God with my service for the ill children in Boston. Please consider donating to my fundraiser page and my team Donny goes distance.
Sincerely,
Donovan
