Frequently asked questions

What is the day like?
In one word—fun. Boston Children’s Hospital Corporate Cup is an afternoon of field-day events promoting fitness and friendly competition among the business community, all while raising funds for the hospital. Companies create teams of up to 20 people to compete. Winners are announced in a closing ceremony. Then there’s the afterparty, where foes become friends over a cold brew, barbecue and bragging rights.

How do I get there? Where do I park?
Parking will be available if you choose to drive. Information about the event location can be found here.

What time do I need to arrive?
Varies by location.

What time should I expect to be finished?
We’ll wrap-up around 5:30 pm. And you’re invited to stay for the after party. You’ll want to— it’s fun.

What do the various jobs entail?
Most Needed: Choose this option if you’re willing to help us out wherever you’re needed the most. We’ll email your assignment to you before event day.

Team Guides: As a team guide you’re responsible for leading your assigned team from event to event according to their schedule, and for keeping score/time for some of the games.

Referees: You're responsible for keeping score for companies that are competing in you’re assigned event throughout the day.

Is there a minimum age requirement to volunteer?
Yes, volunteers must be 21 years of age or older.

What happens if it rains?
Rain or shine, Corporate Cup is going down. Keep an eye on the forecast in the days leading up to the event and plan accordingly.

Is there a fundraising minimum for volunteers?
No, volunteers aren’t required to fundraise. But, if you’re interested in raising funds for the hospital, you definitely can! Access your Fundraising Center by logging in using the username and password you created when registering online. We—and the kids at Boston Children’s—more than appreciate your support.
