Fundraising tips and tools

Here are a few fundraising ideas to help get you started

10,000 step challenge

10,000 steps per day is no easy feat, so make every step count by asking your friends, colleagues, and family members to sponsor you by making a donation to your fundraising page. Ask for $0.01 for every step. Hitting the 10K challenge=$100!

Bake sale

Pick a date and spread the word! Make sure to share photos or even short videos of your progress so your supporters can follow along! You can either drop off your baked goods curbside or deliver them at a later date. Don’t forget to ask for a donation in exchange for a baked good.

Facebook fundraiser

Did you know you can create a Facebook Fundraiser right from your Fundraising Center? This is a quick and easy way to share updates and collect donations.

Free throw competition

Livestream a basketball game of HORSE with your team. Ask your network to tune in and pledge a dollar amount for every shot made—or you can ask your network to make donations to who they think will win the game!

Paint night

Time to get the creative juices flowing. Whether you’re painting or drawing—find a design, determine and share your supply lists with attendees, and host a virtual art class. Attendees can make a donation to your fundraising page.

Performance or dance recital

Have a performance that’s been postponed? In lieu of buying tickets, ask friends and family to donate to your fundraising efforts and, in return, send them a video of your performance!

Game night

Organize a game night for friends, family and colleagues. Safely gather in person or schedule a virtual meeting where people can join in for trivia or BINGO! You can also ask for a small donation “entry fee” to your fundraising page.

“Office” competition

Instead of a traditional dress down day, ask your company or manager if you can hold a funny costume or silly background contest during virtual meetings. Ask participants for a small donation to “enter” and encourage voting. Virtual prizes encouraged!
