In honor of the late and great Dean Peter Brown
Marykate's great-uncle Peter was a very important person in her life. Peter was born with Downs Syndrome at a time when there was very little medical and holistic support for families and patients. Peter thrived as a result of the immense love and progressiveness of his family. Growing up, Peter was Marykate's partner in crime and Scrabble buddy.
Unfortunately, Peter passed away shortly after we began dating. He would have been beyond excited for our special day and would have been competing with Brian to get as many ladies on the dance floor as possible.
In honor of our marriage on June 6, 2015, we would be thrilled if guests would consider donating to the Boston Children's Hospital (BCH) Downs Syndrome Program in Peter's name. BCH has a truly integrative, holistic program for children with Downs Syndrome and their families. It is a program that has much meaning for us both.
