I am running the 2022 Boston Marathon,as part of the Miles for Miracles team, in honor of my daughter Lyla May Heffernan, Sloane Elanjian, Aidan MacKay, Rhys Wiedman, Pablo Gómez, Melinda Wichern, Charlie McCourt, Landon Dawley, Easton Malone, Sloane Lafferty, Jackson Walsh, Julian Cayer and Evalyn Anne Rau.
Boston Children’s Hospital’s scientific research program is one of the most prestigious and active of any pediatric hospital in the world, and is currently researching SIDS/SUDC cause and prevention. One of the important research programs at this hospital is called the Robert's Program.
The Robert's Program is very innovative and includes genetic testing, stem cell research, neuroimaging research and grief research in an effort to knockout SIDS and SUDC. We have developed a close relationship with Dr. Goldstein who heads this program. Dr. Goldstein and his staff continue to keep us updated on the latest developments in this field. I am fundraising for this event because I strongly believe that amazing discoveries will not only help our families with our future children, but will also change the lives of many other children and their parents.
