I'm back for round two! We unfortunately missed out on the real Boston Marathon experience in 2020 due to COVID. But, together we raised over $11k for the children and families at Boston Childrens' Hospital (BCH)! Thank you again to all of those that supported me.
For context, my five year-old daughter, Lillian, was diagnosed with optic nerve hypoplasia (ONH), septo-optic dysplasia (SOD), and quadriplegic spastic cerebral palsy at Boston Children's when she was only a few months old. Due to her ONH, Lily also has low-vision and is considered legally blind. Despite these challenges, she doesn't let it hold her back. Lily lives her life with excitement, passion and confidence! Lily is always exceeding the expectations of her doctors and teachers. It is clear that she intends on writing her own story and we're here for it! I'm running the 2024 Boston Marathon in honor of Lily. She inspires me every day to push myself beyond my own physical limitations and overcome life's toughest challenges!
Every dollar I raise funds the very best medical care, breakthrough research and vital support services for sick kids and their families. Your gift will:
- help children from your town and across the world get a second chance at life;
- give kids battling the most complex diseases care they can't find anywhere else;
- fuel 3,000+ researchers working to develop new treatments and cures;
- support patient programs, like music and art therapy, to let kids be kids, even during long hospital stays;
- help patient families in crisis with urgent needs, such as food, clothing and housing;
- deliver the most compassionate, leading-edge care to every child who needs it.
Please support my fundraising and help the incredible kids and families at Boston Children's Hospital.
