I've joined the Miles for Miracles team to help the brave kids at Boston Children's Hospital.
Specifically, I have joined Miles for Miracles because of my connection with Max White and his family. In previous years, Max's mother, Brooke, has been there to run and fundraise. However, I have stepped in and I am honored to be apart of this event and amazing team. Max and I met during my time at UVM on the Men's Soccer team. Him and I were both sidelined with knee injuries and over time relied upon one another for support and ideas on how to tackle our knees. From that point on (about 5 years ago), Max and I have continued our friendship and has led to this moment now.
When Max was 5 years old he was diagnosed with a rare genetic condition and all of his care was quickly transferred to Boston where he has been treated since by a team of 15 doctors through hundreds of appointments and procedures. They will continue to care for him through young adulthood. This race and fundraiser is a way to give back and show gratitude to the Boston Children's Hospital for everything they have done for Max and others.
Every dollar I raise funds the very best medical care, breakthrough research and vital support services for sick kids and their families. Your gift will:
- help children from your town and across the world get a second chance at life;
- give kids battling the most complex diseases care they can't find anywhere else;
- fuel 3,000+ researchers working to develop new treatments and cures;
- support patient programs, like music and art therapy, to let kids be kids, even during long hospital stays;
- help patient families in crisis with urgent needs, such as food, clothing and housing;
- deliver the most compassionate, leading-edge care to every child who needs it.
Please support my fundraising and help the incredible kids and families at Boston Children's Hospital!
