On April 15th I will be running the Boston Marathon in memory of my nephew and godson, Bennett Crowley. Bennett was born with a rare birth defect, Esophageal Atresia/Tracheoesophageal Fistula. Sadly, this condition required countless surgeries and long-term care at Boston Children's Hospital. However, while there, he and his family received world class care and support during this unimaginably difficult time.
The money I raise running will go directly to the Bennett Crowley Fund at Boston Children's Hospital. Bennett’s Fund was established to assist in training future surgeons, supporting families in a similar situation, and generally improving the Esophageal and Airway Treatment Center at BCH. Though only 3-years-old, the fund has already helped improve the lives of babies and families from all over the world who have been born with this rare defect.
I am honored to be running for Boston Children’s Hospital and raising money for this charity that is so special to my family and me. Thank you for considering supporting Bennett’s Fund.
