Alyssa's 8th Birthday Party Fundraiser for Kidney Research
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I am asking my family and friends to please consider donating to rare Kidney Disease Research and Prevention for my birthday instead of giving traditional gifts.
Although my mom helped me make this page, collecting these donations and changing my birthday party to a fundraiser was all my idea. My sister, Brenna and I both have Nephrocalcinosis, or calcium in our kidneys, which can affect our kidneys and the way they work. Not a whole lot of research and information is collected on our disease, and its even rarer that two sisters share it, as its not typically a genetic disease.
We are both really healthy right now, and I don't feel the effects of the disease nearly as much as my sister does. But that doesn't mean it can't impact us in the future. Please help me raise money for one of the greatest hospitals in the world. Our renal team is amazing, and we love going to Boston. Thank you,
Alyssa
I am hosting a fundraiser, because I want to help Boston Children’s continue its amazing work for kids
- The hospital's patient care programs are remarkably sensitive to what sick and injured children and their families really need.
- Researchers regularly make amazing discoveries that change children's lives.
- Boston Children's welcomes kids whose families can't afford health care—more than any other hospital in Massachusetts.
- Community programs make a point of reaching out to help low-income and at-risk kids.
And the hospital doesn't just stop there. Boston Children's truly understands the importance of training the next generation of top pediatricians and nurses, so they can continue to provide the best, most innovative care possible to kids.
Please support my fundraiser—and Boston Children’s Hospital.
