We are grateful to have found Dr. Kinga Tomczak at Boston Children's Hospital who leads the medical team that supports our son Hudson. Dr. Tomczak is also leading pediatric neurology research that will characterize the microbiome in children with tics and obsessive-compulsive disorder. This research explores specific gut bacteria that produce a large part of serotonin, dopamine, glutamate – neurotransmitters important for the brain processes and emotions. These advancements will help medical teams develop better understanding and treatment for children like Hudson.
