Our son Grayson Edward Kapferer was born at 34 weeks and weighed 2 lbs 14 oz. Grayson was small but full of life and personality. When Grayson was 6 days old he was diagnosed with Necrotizing Enterocolitis (NEC) and transfered to the NICU at Boston Children's Hospital. Grayson died on Valentines day 2012 at the age of 7 days old. The staff at Boston Children's Hospital gave our son amazing care and love. There is still not enough known about NEC, there is no cure at this time. We set up this page to help raise funding for Necrotizing Enterocolitis reasearch at Boston Children's Hospital.
