I am hosting a fundraiser, because I want to help Boston Children’s continue its amazing work for kids.  February is American Heart Month, so I felt this would be a great time to host this fundraiser.  Our daughter, Bridget Therese, was born with a life threatening heart defect called, Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome(HLHS). She had to undergo three open heart surgeries prior to the age of three to rebuild the right side of her heart, to do the work of a whole heart. She is truly a medical miracle! We've met some amazing families on this journey and have also had the heartache of losing friends to this dreaded disease. We belong to a great organization, called Little Hearts, www.littlehearts.org, where we've met many other families with children with the same and similar defects.
