Earlier this year doctors discovered Leo was born with an Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) - a hole between the top two chambers of his heart. While Leo was healthy, left untreated the condition would cause irreversible damage and ultimately shorten his life. After some follow up and consultation, we learned the only option to repair the condition would be open heart surgery. Despite the scary nature of the procedure, we took comfort in the fact that we would be going to Boston Children's Hospital. 

On August 9th Leo checked-in to Boston Children's Hosptial for his surgery and we are overjoyed to report that after only three nights in the hosptial, he is home and on the road to a full recovery.  The hardest part has been getting him to slow down! Becuase of the care Leo received, he will have no restrictions as he gets older, and can live a long and healthy life.

With Leo's 4th birthday quickly approaching we want to give back to Boston Children's Hospital as a small token of our appreciation for the exceptional care he received.
