Welcome to My Personal Page
Dear Friends and Family,
In recent weeks, Meagan has been inspired by the challenges her GooGoo/Judy has faced in managing stage 4 breast cancer. This has opened her eyes to struggles many people face when they become sick. We have educated her on the impact childhood cancer has had within our closeknit family, affecting two of our very close loved ones, Michael Hartley and Carly Laverty and their families. She has started to think of ways to raise money that she can donate to Children’s Hospital to benefit children who become sick at a young age. Every penny she raises will go directly to support Boston Children's lifesaving work.
Meagan’s short term fundraising period will go through her 7th birthday on March 31, 2018. During this time she is finding ways to earn and raise money specifically for this cause. Her first goal is to raise $300 by the time she turns 7. To get started toward her goal, she would like to ask that you set aside some of your bottles and cans from your celebrations this holiday season. On January 7, she will collect them and then redeem them to use the deposits for her donation. Her other request is that you consider making a donation instead of buying her a present for her birthday.
We have chosen Boston Children's Hospital to donate to. The hospital's patient care programs are sensitive to what sick and injured children and their families really need.
- Researchers regularly make amazing discoveries that change children's lives.
- Boston Children's welcomes kids whose families can't afford health care—more than any other hospital in Massachusetts.
- Community programs make a point of reaching out to help low-income and at-risk kids.
Boston Children's truly understands the importance of training the next generation of top pediatricians and nurses, so they can continue to provide the best, most innovative care possible to kids.
Please support Meagan in raising funds and making a difference. Happy Holidays!
