Bronson was born on Star Wars Day, May the 4th, 2015. He weighed 8 lbs. 1 oz. and was 21 inches long. We look back and are grateful that we took Bronson out and about to meet anyone and everyone. He traveled to Chicago to meet our big family & his great grandparents who were close to 90. He got to stay at the family lake house in Twin Lake, Michigan that has been in the family for 100+ years. Bronson loved everyone he met & had a great smile and laugh -- and let´s not forget his crazy tuft of hair!
On the morning of September 11th, 2015, Bronson passed away to SIDS. We followed all safe sleep guidelines - Alone, Back, Empty Crib - but some things are just not preventable.
Bronson touched the lives of so many people during his short 4 months and continues to touch people´s hearts all around the world. We started Mickeys for Bronson before what would have been his 1st Birthday. It is a way we honor Bronson, spread SIDS awareness & hope to generate donations for research. If you would like to place a Mickey to honor Bronson, please email us at mickeysforbronson@gmail.com and we will mail you a postcard with directions on how to participate!
Thank you for choosing to donate to a cause that gets overlooked. 1 in 1000 babies pass to SIDS each year and researchers are trying so hard to figure out WHY. Roberts Program at Boston Children´s Hospital did some genetic research on us as well as look at
Bronson´s slides from his autopsy. I personally spoke with Dr. Goldstein about the research & I feel they are on the right track! I hope that in my lifetime, SIDS is figured out and no parent will ever have to lose their baby suddenly without any answers!
