Our angel, Dylan Alexandra will be 8 years old on March 11th. As has become our tradition, we will again proudly celebrate Dylan Day by making birthday donations to Boston's Children’s Hospital.

 

This past year, our oldest daughter was admitted to Children’s. Thankfully, she is happy and doing well!

 

But, I will never forget walking into the ER that day, from our second ambulance ride, being scared for my own child, but absolutely knowing that so many other children never get to go home again. Parents and siblings leave the hospital empty handed with broken hearts that never fully heal. 

 

Our donations make it possible to give these families something, last wishes, memories and comfort. During this last stay, I met another mother whose situation was far, far worse than ours; She came from Western MA, living at the hospital with her teenage son, who had been diagnosed with a rare brain cancer. He was given an X Box for his room, and as his birthday approached, the nurses were planning a party for him. His one big ask was to go to a Red Sox game! I checked in with his mom after we were home…he was going to the game, thanks to the donations made to the hospital! I hope he had a great birthday.
