Homeward Boston Strong
In commemoration of the 3rd anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombing, we want to take time out of our busy day to remember the victims, their families and the dedicated first responders and healthcare professionals that were thrust into the spotlight on April 15, 2013. Long considered an event for young and old alike, thousands of spectators lined the route from Hopkinton to Boylston Street. The devastation created by the bombs did not discriminate between race, nationality, gender or age, killing three and wounding more than 260. Victims were treated at 26 Boston area hospitals in the days following the attack and for many, this care continues for the rest of their lives.
Especially cruel were the injuries inflicted upon the children. One hospital, Boston Children’s Hospital, provided extraordinary care and treatment for the majority of these young victims. We would like to honor and recognize the collective strength, courage and resolve of all those affected on that fateful day by making a contribution to the Boston Children’s Hospital Trust Fund to help Children’s Hospital continue its amazing work for kids.
We have created thisHomeward Boston Strong fundraiser page for Boston Children’s Hospital and have set a goal of $500. You can donate online or if you or if you prefer to make a donation of cash or check, please give to Susan Guzman or Erik Ferguson and we will make the donation for you. Each person who makes a donation will receive an “I am Homeward Strong” placard for their cubicle / office. As an added incentive, Fergy has agreed to make a matching donation if we reach our goal.
Thank you.
