In loving memory and honor of Jack Mason Sullivan
I am hosting a fundraiser, because I want to help Boston Children’s continue its amazing work for kids
- The hospital's patient care programs are remarkably sensitive to what sick and injured children and their families really need.
- Researchers regularly make amazing discoveries that change children's lives.
- Boston Children's welcomes kids whose families can't afford health care—more than any other hospital in Massachusetts.
- Community programs make a point of reaching out to help low-income and at-risk kids.
And the hospital doesn't just stop there. Boston Children's truly understands the importance of training the next generation of top pediatricians and nurses, so they can continue to provide the best, most innovative care possible to kids.
Jack Mason Sullivan's story began before he even blessed us with his precious face. While in utero, his parents got the news at 20 weeks that he had CDH - Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia. They spent the remainder of the pregnancy worrying about their son and working closely with their team of doctors at Boston Children's Hospital, as upon delivery Jack would be transferred immediately to there.
Jack blessed us on September 25th, 2018, and he spent his very short life at Boston Children's Hospital, surrounded by the most caring staff of doctors, nurses, and specialist. The care that was provided not only to Jack but to his parents and family is beyond what words can even describe. The MSICU floor became home to them, and the staff who fought to be on Jack's team, became family. His parents were even given a sleep suite so that they wouldn't have to leave Jack during his time at Children's, they were incredibly fortunate to have this available to them, as they were able to spend all of their time with Jack during his very short life here with us. Jack was referred to as the "Mayor" of floor 7, as everyone knew who he was and swore he was the cutest baby ever (we all agree).
Jack fought a very hard battle, but unfortunately, he took his last breath in his parents arms on November 16th, 2018. We will forever honor his life and to raise awareness for CDH, and help other families through our efforts in fundraising and blood donation to Children's Hospital.
Our goal is to raise money not only for Boston Children's Hospital, but for the MSICU and CDH research.
Please support our fundraiser—and Boston Children’s Hospital.
