Dorothy Cameron
Dorothy Cameron, 85, found her place in Heaven on January 17th, 2021. Dorothy was predeceased by her loving husband John Richard Cameron and she is survived by her three daughters, Debbie, Phyllis and Alison and their spouses; as well as her seven grandchildren.
Dotty was an incredibly kind and intelligent woman. As a nurse for 30+ years at Mt. Auburn Hospital, she dedicated her time and efforts to generously caring for others. Her gentle and calming nature transcended beyond her work life, which was apparent in the ways she loved her family and friends.
She will be remembered for her love of animals, especially her pet dogs and guinea pigs. She will also be remembered for her love of reading. A ferocious reader, Dotty spent much of her time learning, imagining and solving mystery after mystery.
It is for this reason; our family has decided to designate the gifts in her honor to Boston Children’s Hospital Child Life Program. The gifts in her name will help support the promotion of imagination and curiosity in the patients at BCH. She would love to know that because of her, a sick child may find peace in picking up a book or learning something new through Child Life’s amazing activities and programs.
We thank you so much for your gift and for your love of Dotty.
