I am thrilled to once again compete in the Boston Children’s Hospital Corporate Cup! Boston Children’s Hospital has a special place in the heart of many people at Lamacchia Realty, including myself. In January 2000, my baby sister Heather was born with a heart defect and was under the unwavering medical attention of Boston Children’s Hospital. Although she had the best of care, she passed away at six weeks of age. When I was in high school due to a sporting incident, I was also a patient there for an extended stay. Due to this experience, my father and I have been supporting Children’s Hospital ever since. We know first hand that it is truly one of those places that you don’t realize how lucky you are to have it until you need it most. But it’s not just my family that gets it. I look at our team and our company. One team member – her son spent a few weeks in the ICU over the holidays – a star high school athlete who was injured in the middle of his season – then back on the court in January thanks to Children's. I can think of 6 other stories like this across our team.
It is an honor for us to get to raise money for this incredible hospital and we continue to raise our own fundraising goals year after year.
This is Lamacchia Realty’s sixth year participating in the Corporate Cup and I am excited to be the captain of this team! In 2022, we were the Top Fundraising Team and last year our team was in 2nd place for highest fundraising! This year, Team Lamacchia is honored to be participating as Silver Sponsor to further support this inspirational event and organization. In addition, our team will also connect with and receive updates from a patient partner currently receiving treatment at Boston Children’s. Like the rest of the companies entering the Corporate Cup, we have a team of twenty people determined to raise money for Boston Children’s Hospital. Team Lamacchia has a combined goal to raise a minimum of $25,000 for this year’s competition, and we have until 12:00 pm on the day of the event to hit their fundraising goals!
