I love you so much and I am participating in Yoga Reaches out to be a part of something bigger than myself. I’m so glad you came into my life in 2009 when I was broken, dark, sad, confused and self-destructive. You taught me how to breathe. You taught me how amazing my body could be. You taught me self-awareness, and how to surrender and deepen into peace with every exhale. Somehow, your eight limbs translated in one form or another perfectly into my daily life, and in time, I was able to exhale away toxic relationships, negative thoughts, any patterns and behaviors that didn’t serve me anymore. You gave me peace and hope and taught me that joy isn’t about doing, it’s about undoing.
You cracked me open to accept and share love, to trust my intuition and see the good around me. You gave me drive to learn more about myself than any other teacher in my past. Now, whenever I am sad or uncomfortable or angry, I am able to recognize that it is my soul asking me to let something go. You taught me that.
I am grateful for all my teachers and all their teachers and every human being that you’ve brought into my life. I’m so, so lucky to have you.
I'm participating in Yoga Reaches Out because I want to help Boston Children's Hospital continue its amazing work for kids and families. During this day-long yogathon, more than 1,000 yogis will come together for an inspirational day of yoga, music, and fundraising - all to help bring peace and healing to others. This year donations will benefit Boston Children's Wellness Program and Every Child Fund.
Won't you support me in helping give strength to familes coping with a sick child.
