I'm participating in Yoga Reaches Out because I want to help Boston Children's Hospital continue its amazing work for kids and families. During this day-long yogathon, more than 1,000 yogis will come together for an inspirational day of yoga, music, and fundraising - all to help bring peace and healing to others.
I will be practicing in memory of an incredible little boy... Jacob Roger Poulin.
Jacob was a happy, hockey playing four year old boy who was destined for greatness. He was an amazingly kind person who always thought the best of everyone and made everyone feel loved.
On April 2nd, 2016, as if out of thin air, Jacob was diagnosed with a medulloblastoma - a very aggressive brain tumor that affects only a few hundred children in the United States each year. After bravely fighting for his life for six months, five-year-old Jacob left this world on October 1st, 2016, his father's birthday.
The support, treatment, and compassion that Boston Childrens Hospital gave to Jacob and his family was immeasurable.
I encourage you to visit https://www.jrpf.org and learn more about Jacob's legacy and his family's plan to build a park in his name!
This year 100% of our donations will benefit Boston Children's Wellness Program and Every Child Fund.
Support me in helping give strength to families coping with a sick child.
