I am participating in Yoga Reaches Out to give back to Children's Hospital and to give HOPE to patients and families who are facing challenging times.
Children's Hospital holds a special place in my heart. I was a patient at Children's Hospital at the age of 35, from a diagnosis of Moya Moya, a side effect of my genetic disease called NF1 (neurofibromatosis 1). From diagnosis of the Moya Moya, to my first interaction at an NF symposium meeting a Children's Hospital doctor, who got me an appointment with the doctor whom finally performed the surgery, was only 3 months. My family and myself will always be eternally grateful and with deep appreciation on how fortunate I am to have these amazing doctors. They gave myself and my family hope and peace of mind. Children's Hospital treats patients from all over the world and I cannot describe how lucky I was to have these doctors right in my "backyard".
This year I am participating in Yoga Reaches Out for day-long yogathon, where more than 1,000 yogis will come together for an inspirational day of yoga, music, and fundraising to help bring peace and healing to others from children from all over the world that may find their place to Children's Hospital.
Please Support Children’s Hospital in helping give strength to families and children.
